FOCUS is a unique approach, devoloped by Brenda M. Batts, based on the belief that every child with special needs can learn and progress, when given the opportunity to do so. At FOCUS, our priority is helping children with special needs learn the self-help skills that are so necessary to help them become as independent as possible.
Our goal here at FOCUS SpEd is to design and deliver highly individualized training or workshop-based information that is geared to help provide you with the necessary tools to help your child become more independent. Regardless of their limitation, your child deserves and is capable of living a more independent life.
Our strategy is to offer specialized training designed to help children with special needs better adapt to our society. Without specialized intervention and training, our society is often times too complex and confusing for our children to function in ways that are considered socially acceptable. FOCUS offers a diverse approach, using highly individualized techniques, to teach new skills to children with special needs. We work in the comfort of your home and familiarity of the school environment to create specialized programs designed to help children excel. Our training program has been proven to be successful on countless of private clients and clients contracted to us by school districts such as, PISD (Plano Independent School District) and RRISD (Round Rock Independent School District).

A total communication environment for children with Special Needs Ages Kindergarten to 12th Grade
After accumulating more than 12 years of successful training and consulting with 1,000s of private clients, public school districts, and education service centers, Focus Special Education, LLC will be opening a new private school, entitled Focus on the Future Training Center . We integrate speech and enhanced verbalization in every part of our curriculum to help our children bridge their huge deficits in communication and social skills building. We believe that catering to each child’s learning style is critical to their success in school. Simply put, our priority is developing and delivering training that will help your child reach their potential in independent living.
